The National Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Mr Mxolisi Kaunda and Msunduzi Local Mayor, Themba Njilo, conducted a crime and road safety blitz at the Edendale and Liberty Midlands Malls in Pietermaritburg today.
The reason for the crime and road safety blitz is to assure members of the community that the provincial government has prioritised their safety during the festive season.
The blitz forms part of government’s festive season integrated safety plan to fight crime and road carnage.
