Today, MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Mxolisi Kaunda attended the mass funeral service of the seven (7) N2 Tugela Bridge Road crash victims.
The victims were killed in a horrific car crash, which took place on the N2 near Tugela River on Saturday (19 January 2019).
According to the reports, the driver of a Toyota Etios lost control of the vehicle and collided head-on with a Toyota Hilux.
Investigations show that the Toyota Etios was travelling southbound while the Toyota Hilux was travelling northbound. All seven occupants (04 males & 03 females) of the overloaded Toyota Etios lost their lives on the scene. Reports also reveal that the victims are all from one family.
