Two people were killed and six others injured following a collision between a bakkie and taxi on Bishopstowe Road in Glenwood, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the taxi and bakkie in the middle of the road.
Upon closer inspection paramedics found that two people had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead.
Six other patients were attended to on the scene. Assessments showed that the injuries sustained ranged from minor to moderate.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported them to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
