Members of Roodepan SAPS arrested a 36-year-old suspect at Galeshewe Pick and Pay Centre yesterday. The suspect was arrested while trying to scam unsuspecting ATM users.
The suspect was highly wanted for various robbery cases reportedly committed around Kimberly and surrounding areas. ATM users are sensitised to be vigilant when using ATM’s to avoid falling into the trap of the scammers.
Users should not request a stranger on how to use the ATM, not visit secluded ATM’s particularly during the night. Any suspicious looking people roaming around the ATM’s should be reported to the police.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Galeshewe Magistrates court soon. Police investigation continues.
