KwaZulu-Natal: At 09H26 Saturday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a drowning at an Umhlanga Rocks beach.
Reports from the scene indicate that a 36-year-old woman was swept out to sea by a strong current.
The woman was rapidly rescued by Lifeguards who safety brought her back to shore where she was assessed by a Netcare 911 Emergency Care Practitioner and found to be in a stable condition.
The patient was treated on scene and transported by ambulance to hospital for further assessment.
