MEC Kaunda unveils plans to upgrade D77 & D1625 roads

KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Mr
Mxolisi Kaunda, unveiled a plan to upgrade D77 and D1625 in Ntembisweni in Umvoti Municipality today.

The first phase of the project entails the construction of 5km of D77 at a cost of R75
million. The construction of D77 will commence later in the current financial year.

The construction of this road forms part of government programme to improve road infrastructure in rural areas. The road will provide easy access to schools, Ntembisweni Clinic and a pension pay point in the area.
