Suspected Drug Peddler Arrested At School Sports in Verulam

A 22 year old man was arrested after he was accused of selling anti-depressant tablets to pupils of Mountview Seconday during their annual sports day.

At approximately 11:25 today (Friday) members of Reaction Unit South Africa were on patrol at the school when an educator pointed out three people behaving in a suspicious manner. The educator believed that the individuals, one of whom was an ex-pupil were peddling drugs to students.

Reaction Officers approached the three and upon searching them a packet containing 45 Xanax anti-depressant tablets was recovered in one of the suspects pockets. During questioning the Mountview resident confirmed that he had sold several tablets to students.

The suspect who was found in possession of the highly addictive tablets was placed under arrest and handed over to Police for further investigation.
