The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane handed two mobile Community Service Centres (CSCs) over to communities of Dwarsberg in the Madikwe (Zeerust Cluster) and Mabeskraal in the Sun City (Rustenburg Cluster) policing areas respectively on Thursday, 2 May 2019.
The Provincial Commissioner appealed to parents to encourage their children to attend school and refrain from burning and demolishing government buildings and any other essential infrastructure. She urged members of the community to work together with the police in combating crime. Upon handing over mobile Community Service Centre keys for Dwarsberg to the Station Commander of Madikwe, Lieutenant Colonel Nkoana, the Provincial Commissioner said that the mobile CSC should be utilised to attend to clients in the village and bring services closer to the community.
On behalf of the Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Motswenyane, the Rustenburg Cluster Commander, Major General Adams, handed over the mobile CSC for Mabeskraal to the Station Commander of Sun City, Lieutenant Colonel Moseki. The handing over was done in the presence of the Provincial Head of Visible Policing, Brigadier Molate, the Provincial Community Police Board Chairperson, Mr Dixon Ngamlane and the Chief of Batlhako-Ba-Matutu in Mabeskraal, Kgosi Mabe.
In his remarks, Major General Adams, appealed to the community of Mabeskraal to be the eyes and ears of the South African Police Service and to work closely with the police. “South African Police Service have your best interest at heart. We are here to serve you, which is why we have brought services to you. You used to travel a long distance to Sun City police station to get services, we are here to serve you. If you are unhappy with our service, do tell us so that we can rectify,” Major General Adams said.
He requested the community to unite in fighting crime and concluded by thanking Chief Mabe and his Tribal Council for their presence and participation.
