MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Mxolisi Kaunda held a meeting with Ward 6 community members at Umzumbe today.
The purpose of the meeting was to report on the department’s plans for the grading of access roads within the area, which were damaged by heavy rains recently. This is to repair the damaged roads and to enable the community to travel safely to schools, clinics and other amenities.
The grading of the access roads will also enable community members to safely travel to their voting stations in order to ensure successful upcoming elections.
The meeting took place at Umzumbe Municipal Offices.
