Four suspects arrested for illegal possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition

MOTHERWELL – Four male suspects were arrested in Motherwell after being found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition in their vehicle.

This followed after alert SAPS Flying Squad members noticed a suspicious charcoal Datsun Go driving without number plates in Nzunga Street, NU5, Motherwell at about 12:00 yesterday.

On searching the vehicle, an unlicenced 9mm pistol with its serial number removed and two (2) rounds of ammunition were found on the passenger side floor.
