The public is requested to be on the lookout for 14 year old Sekwanele Zungu (pictured).
Sekwanele is a grade 8 pupil at Nkosibongo Secondary School in Habanathi, Tongaat. She travelled to a butchery in Tongaat by taxi yesterday (Thursday) between 15:30 and 16:00 to purchase meat for her mother and did not return.
Her mother went in search of her and was informed by a vendor outside the butchery that the teenager met with a woman who convinced her to hand over her money and she would purchase the meat at a discounted price.
After waiting for a lengthy period the girl went in search of the woman who had not returned. She has not been since since. Sekwanele was dressed in a black shirt and a long sleeve black & white top.
