An Alpha Alarms member sprang into action and rushed to the aid of an unknown man who appeared to have been sleeping on the pavement and rolled over into a lane along the N3 headed towards Durban.
The Alpha Alarms member was driving when he saw the man lying on the road along the slow lane. Afraid for the possible consequences and the dangerous fate that awaited the stranger as well as motorists, the Alpha member contacted the police and rushed to remove the man from the driving lane. It is alleged that the man had a blackout and hit his face on the tar. He was bleeding and lost some of his teeth as well. The Alpha member helped to pull the man to safety as well as avoid accidents on the road.
SAPS responded to the scene and an ambulance was called out. The Alpha member departed when help was dispensed for the man.
