Two people were left injured this afternoon, one of the critically, when a light motor vehicle and scooter collided head-on at the Ruimte and Saxby Road intersection in Eldoraigne.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 12h27 to find a light motor vehicle and scooter in the middle of the road. A woman, believed to be in her 40s, was found lying in the road while another woman was found seated inside her car.
Medics assessed the patients and found that the woman in her 40s had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition. The woman seated in her vehicle was found with only minor injuries.
Medics treated the women and provided the critically injured with advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the women were transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
