Air Mercy Wing 5 airlifted a 3-year-old patient who sustained gunshot wounds to the abdomen and arm from Injabulo Clinic in rural KwaZulu-Natal to Greys Hospital in Pietermaritzburg.
The AMS is committed to changing lives and saving lives by providing rapid aero-medical transportation of patients who are critically ill or injured.
This particular mission was done on a humanitarian basis with no cost recovery.
