Yesterday evening at approximately 6:00 Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service came across a serious accident on the N2 close to bridge 14.
When paramedics assessed the scene they found that unfortunately 1 occupant had sustained fatal injuries and had succumbed to their injuries before EMS arrived. The 2nd occupant sustained critical injuries and was treated on scene before being transported to hospital.
From reports on scene one of the vehicles hit a puddle on the road and lost control, causing the vehicle to move into oncoming traffic and crashing head-on into the other vehicle.
Authorities are investigating the scene.
