WESTERN CAPE – Our relentless efforts to combat the illegal drug trade in the province led to the arrest of three suspects dealing in drugs in Mandela Park, Klapmuts.
While they were busy conducting stop and search operations in the area, alert members attached to Klapmuts SAPS acted on information about the selling of drugs at a residence. Members drove to the mentioned address and, upon searching the premises, they seized a small shopping bag containing 43 grams of tik; 231 small packets of tik; 30 mandrax tablets; 41 quarters of mandrax tablets and dagga. The confiscated illegal substances are estimated to be worth R15 800.00.
Three suspects, aged between 25 and 30, were arrested and are expected to make a court appearance in the Paarl Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of dealing in drugs.
