SAPS Kabega Park detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing two wanted persons who failed to appear in court for their respective sentencing on two different cases.
In the first case, Jerome Karolus (28) from Mbangi Street in Kuyga is been sought by police after he failed to appear in court on 28 March 2016. On 16 March 2016, at about 15:00, Karolus was arrested in Kuyga with a small quantity of tik. He was charged for possession of drugs and after several appearances, on 28 March 2016, he failed to appear in court for his sentencing. A warrant for his arrest was issued.

Sibongile Thuthula Cicilia (22) was arrested on 06 January 2019 at St Alban’s prison and charged for possession of drugs. On the mentioned date, at about 11:15, Cicilia went to visit a prisoner at the maximum section. On searching her at the entrance, 99 mandrax tablets and tik was found in her possession.
She appeared in court and was released on bail. On 20 September 2019 she was found guilty and the case was postponed to 21 October 2019 for sentencing. She failed to appear in court. A warrant for her arrest was issued. Her last known address was Mbilini Street in Kwazakele.

Police are warning the community that harbouring a criminal is a serious offence and those found flouting the law will be arrested and prosecuted.
