A tuck shop that was being run from a home in Cottonlands – KZN was robbed by four occupants of a white Toyota Corolla (registration unknown).
Reaction Unit, South Africa (RUSA) received a call from a woman who is a whispered voice informed the controller on duty of an armed robbery in progress. The female provided an address before the call was terminated.
All available Reaction Officers were dispatched to the residence and on arrival were informed that four suspects in a white Toyota Corolla stopped on an unpaved road near the home. Two suspects alighted from the vehicle entered the property. One of the suspects was armed with a firearm and held up a man in the yard before forcing him into the house where a tuck shop was being run.
When the victim’s wife noticed the robbers entering the house with her husband she hid out of the site and contacted RUSA for assistance. The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and a Samsung cellphone before fleeing the scene.
Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the suspects however no arrests were made.
