EASTERN CAPE – Eastern Cape SAPS members continued with the Covid-19 awareness campaign in Keiskamahoek (Qoboqobo) today, 03 April 2020.
Following this week’s Government Social Grant period for pensioners and recipients, members of the community continue to flock in the CBD’s to acquire essential goods and services.
Due to lack of access to information, SAPS members used this opportunity to visit the rural areas to inform community members about the Coronavirus.
During the campaign citizens were sensitized to remain in their homes during the national lockdown.
Hawkers with permits were also reminded to ensure safety of their customers while they are trading fruits and vegetables during this period.
SAPS members managed to reach out to rural communities to bring awareness.
