Efforts to clamp down on stock theft in the rural communities of the Western Cape are proving to be successful. Yesterday in Swellendam our detectives attached to the Stock Theft Unit arrested four suspects for the theft of three sheep. The carcasses of the sheep were retrieved and the suspects are scheduled to make a court appearance in Swellendam today to face the charges against them
In Lutzville, members of the Malmesbury Stock Theft Unit arrested two suspects for the theft of two goats and five sheep yesterday from a farm in the area. The suspects are scheduled to make their court appearances once they have been charged.
