Herdsmen discovered a decomposing body in a River in Eastbury

A decomposed body was discovered by two men while herding cows along Eastbury Drive in Phoenix.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were on patrol in the area when they were flagged down by two individuals. They explained that they made the discovery while searching for stray cows which wandered off from the rest of the herd. The men led Reaction Officers through a dense bush before pointing out the decomposing body in a stream. It could not be confirmed if the deceased died of natural or unnatural causes due to the advanced stage of decomposition.

The Phoenix SAPS are investigating further.
