A man in his thirties was killed after he was crushed by a trailer while being transported to work in Greylands, Tongaat.
At approximately 07:16 the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Tongaat Operations Center received a call for assistance from an employee of a security company requesting assistance for the critically injured man. On arrival of Medics, the individual was found to have suffered life-threatening injuries and died at the scene.
It was confirmed that the deceased was being transported to a farm in a trailer being towed by a tractor with at least ten other people when he fell off and was crushed by the wheels of the trailer. The driver parked the tractor off at a nearby farm and could not be located.
Investigations into the incident are currently underway.
