Missing teacher sought by Sydenham police

DURBAN – Police in Sydenham are appealing to the community to assist with regards to a missing person, Luyanda Perfect Xolo (23) from Clare Estate. It is alleged that on 1 June 2020 at 20:00, he was partying with friends at Burnwood Road Park when a fight broke out but according to witnesses, he stood aside and did not partake in the dispute. When everything subsided, they all went to Candover Road informal settlement which is nearby the park, and they continued to party. Another fight broke out and everyone ran in different directions. He has not been seen from then.

A missing person inquiry was opened at Sydenham police station for investigation. Search and Rescue Team with K9 Unit were alerted and the search was conducted in the area with negative results. Police are continuing the search with their canines and local police. The victim is a teacher at a school in Tongaat and he wears glasses.
