Pictured is a firearm recovered this morning (Wednesday) along the R102 near Canelands in Kwazulu-Natal.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call at 09:47 from the owner of Suren’s Driving School who reported that a firearm was seen lying in a burning bush.
Reaction Officers arrived at the location on the verge of the R102 northbound lane next to the Shri Siva Subramaniar Alayam Temple and found the weapon resembling a CZ 7.65 pistol lying on the ground. The area was preserved and handed over to the South African Police Services.
Several shootings, murders & collisions were reported to Law Enforcement in recent months in the vicinity of the recovery.
