A foetus was found this morning on Great North Road in Benoni.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 11h10 after road cleaners had found the foetus lying in the grass.
On closer inspection, medics found the foetus a short distance in the veld. Unfortunately, nothing could be done by paramedics.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further
investigations.
