KING WILLIAMS TOWN – On 09 August 2020, at approximately 22:30 police received information about plans to commit theft of stock at Lower de Glen farm, Elliot.
The information was followed and on arrival at the farm, police came across a white Isuzu bakkie being loaded with three cattle. Police questioned the suspect about the ownership of the cattle and the suspect failed to give a satisfactory response.
A male suspect aged 52 was arrested and is expected to appear at Elliot Magistrate’s court tomorrow, 11 August 2020.
Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner Lt Gen Liziwe Ntshinga commended the arrest. We must work harder, smarter, and do all in our strength to break the backbone of stock theft.
