Suspect arrested and firearms recovered in the Eastern Cape

The proliferation of illegal firearms and ammunition in Port Elizabeth is a priority for police. In our efforts to clamp down on the serious and violent crimes committed with illegal firearms, Kabega Park SAPS and the Anti-Gang Unit arrested a 24-year-old suspect in Kuyga, and confiscate firearms.

The firearms will be sent to ballistics for further analysis. The suspect will appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate Court on Monday, 31 August 2020.
