A 43-year-old man was found hanging from a burglar guard by his mother at their residence on Jacona Close in Dawncrest.
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Center received a call for assistance at approximately 16:38. On arrival, Medics were directed to a bedroom where the man was found lying on the floor. Upon assessment, he showed no signs of life and was declared deceased. It was established that the belt used by the deceased to hang himself was cut by his mother prior to the arrival of first responders.
Circumstances surrounding the suicide has not been established.
