MQANDULI – Two 16-year-old boys were arrested by Mqanduli police after they allegedly robbed money from a bakery truck at Jojweni locality in Mqanduli on Monday, 23 November 2020 at about 15h30.
It is alleged that the truck was delivering bread at the locality when the suspects approached the driver demanding money at gunpoint.
Police were alerted and arrested the pair. An undisclosed amount of money and a 9mm pistol with two (02) rounds of ammunition were seized.
They will appear before the Mqanduli Magistrate Court on 24 November 2020 facing charges of robbery, possession of an unlicensed firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
