GAUTENG – Police officers from K9 were on patrol driving along Main Reef Road in Johannesburg when they noticed a white Renault Sandero at the BP garage and two men with gloves jumping inside. Police officers became suspicious and proceeded to the garage where they were informed that the men had just committed a robbery.
Police immediately gave chase and intercepted the suspects. On searching the car and suspects, police found two unlicensed firearms with magazines loaded with ammunition.
It was established that the vehicle was fitted with false registration plates and other two sets of registration plates found in the boot.
According to the complainant, R200 000-00 worth of hairpieces was taken during the robbery.
