The body of 42-year-old Luvendran Govender popularly known as Shaun was discovered in the bedroom of his Denbury Court flat in Eastbury.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call from a woman stating that after failing to get Govender’s attention this morning they decided to contact the landlord who opened up his flat with a set of spare keys. Govender was discovered lying on the floor in his bedroom. He was unresponsive. The caller requested medical assistance.
RUSA members were dispatched to the block of flats where Govender lived alone. On arrival Paramedics from the Provincial Ambulance Service were on scene and declared Govender deceased. He is believed to have died of natural causes however Police were called to the scene and are investigating further.
According to friends and family, Govender was last heard from yesterday afternoon after he returned from soccer practice.
