Vehicle gutted in fire in Tongaat

A Ford Bantam bakkie was destroyed after it caught alight on Chili Road in Hambanathi, Tongaat.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene and found the vehicle engulfed in flames. Reaction Officers moved onlookers to a safe distance. The blaze was eventually extinguished by the Ethekwini Fire Department however the bakkie was completely destroyed.

Circumstances as to how the fire had started have not been established at this stage.
