A 65-year-old woman was gagged during a home invasion at her residence on Silveroak Place in Oaklands, Verulam.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the property by a neighbor at approximately 00:17. On arrival, the elderly female explained that two suspects forced their way into her home and robbed her of an undisclosed amount of cash. They then gagged her with a scarf before they fled the scene. The victim managed to remove the gag and sought assistance from neighbors. She could not confirm if the suspects were armed.
Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the robbers however no arrests were made.
