A 64 year old man was found deceased in his vehicle on the south bound lane of the R102 between the Phoenix intersection and the Trade Centre off ramp a short while ago (Wednesday).
A passing motorist contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 16:29 requesting assistance for the driver of a VW Polo who’s vehicle veered off the road and came to a stop in the center median.
On arrival the driver was being assessed by Paramedics from a private ambulance service. He showed no signs of life and was declared deceased.
From information gathered from a witness, the driver is believed to have suffered a medical condition before his vehicle veered off its path of travel.
