SAPS Humewood detectives are urgently seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the mother of a newborn baby girl found on Sunday, 31 January 2021 in Valley Road in Baakens Valley.
It is alleged that at about 13:00, bush dwellers were rummaging in the bush next to Tramways when they stumbled onto the black plastic bag dumped in bushes. Inside the bag, the infant was found with the umbilical cord still attached. The race of the child is yet to be determined. An inquest docket is opened for further investigation.
