The Provincial Drug and Firearms Unit’s determination to root-out drugs in the province yielded good results when they arrested a 35-year-old man after he was found in possession of drugs.
The suspect was arrested following an operation that was conducted on 1 February 2021 at premises on Sarnia Road in Bellair. Upon searching the premises, police recovered 113 capsules of heroin, two half-moon shape rock cocaine, two ecstasy tablets, and a small bag containing heroin. The estimated street value of the recovered drugs is R6 000-00. The suspect appeared before the Durban Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 2 February 2021 for possession of drugs.
