Members of Kathu Crime Prevention Group 2 consisting of Sergeants Eiman and Mosesane and Constables Jantjies and Moleme dealt an alleged drug dealer a hard blow after they arrested him on 08 February 2021 at 23:40 during stop and search actions conducted in the vicinity of Hendrick Van Eck road in Kathu.
The members found the 29-year-old male in possession of 189 zip lock bags filled with dagga and mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R6 500-00 and cash amounting to R710-00 believed to be the proceeds of the sale of the drugs.
The suspect will soon appear in the Kathu Magistrates’ Court on a charge of possession of drugs.
The police will continue unabated to squeeze the space for drug dealers to operate in an effort to create a safer environment for our inhabitants.
