Family of the South African Police Service in the Eastern Cape, paid their last respect to one of the foot soldiers at Joza Township in Makhanda on Saturday, 20 March 2021. The late Warrant Officer Vukile Harmans, who served as Detective Commander at Tyefu SAPS, passed on recently when he attended a crime scene at one of localities in the Tyefu policing precinct.
The South African Police Service has lost a dedicated and disciplined member who served with diligence in different environments, since joining the service in 2003. His colleagues characterised the late Warrant Officer as a hardworking and committed member who worked tirelessly to serve communities, and that was witnessed by a number of letters of appreciation received in his respect from different angles of the community.
The Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Crime Detection, Major General Zithulele Dladla, who represented the Provincial Commissioner and senior management, extended heartfelt condolences to Harmans Family. He further described the late fallen hero as a disciplined and reliable servant who always respected his managers.
In his conclusion, Major General Dladla thanked the Harmans family for allowing their son and brother to serve in various environments within the service in ensuring safety in various communities.
