An alleged murder suspect (18) handed himself over at SAPS Gelvandale after a fatal stabbing of a 21-year-male.
It is alleged that on Monday, 22 March 2021 at approximately 07:00 police responded to a complaint of a stabbing in Virgo Street, Extention 5, Barcelona. On arrival, the members were informed that the victim, Envor Louw was already transported to the hospital. Louw succumbed to his injuries while on route to the hospital.
He sustained one stab wound to the chest. It is alleged that Louw and the suspect were embroiled in a fight and during the scuffle, Louw was allegedly stabbed. The suspect handed himself over at SAPS Gelvandale. He was detained on a charge of murder and will appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrates’ court during the week.
