n integrated team of investigators appointed to investigate the family murders in Marakong village, Namahadi, Qwaqwa made great strides as they managed to arrest two more suspects.
The suspects, a 20-year-old foreign national and a 43-year-old local farmer were arrested in Harrismith in the early hours of Friday, 09 April 2021 at about 01:00.
The farmer is being charged with defeating the ends of justice after it emerged that he’s been transporting the suspects with his vehicle assisting them to evade the law. His vehicle was confiscated.
The main suspect is still at large.
This brings the total number of arrested suspects to three.
The suspects will appear in Phuthaditjhaba Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 12 April 2021 on charges of murder, arson and attempted murder.
