The body of a 58-year woman was discovered in her bathroom at her residence in Verulam, KZN (Sunday).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance after the woman’s 71-year-old tenant made the discovery. Reaction Officers and
Medics were dispatched to the residence and met with the tenant at approximately 15:01.
He explained that he decided to check on his landlady after he last saw her at 09:00 this morning. He discovered the door leading to her bedroom ajar. Upon entering the house he found the female on her knees leaning into the bathtub. A tap was left open and a basin next to the bathtub was over flowing. The woman was pronounced deceased on examination by Medics.
The cause of death was not immediately established. He family confirmed that the deceased suffered from several chronic illnesses.
