Dutywa Acting Station Commander and sector managers were on patrol at Dutywa village and received information about a business robbery at Naki Location outside Dutywa. They swiftly rushed to the scene and activated Mbashe law enforcement for backup. On arrival at the scene, they found two suspects aged 29 and 31 years already assaulted by the community. Police intervened and searched the suspects and recovered one 7,65mm pistol and two magazines with 16 live ammunition and a stolen cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The quick response by the combined foot soldiers was commended by the Acting District Commissioner Brigadier Ngangema Xakavu.
The duo will appear at Dutywa Magistrates’ Court soon.
