IPSS Medical Rescues search and rescue division is currently in attendance North of Westbrook beach where a diver is reportedly missing.
Rescue personnel are in the process of launching rescue craft as well as drones to conduct search patterns. The unit will be assisted by rescue units including SAPS Search and Rescue.
This is a developing story.
UPDATE 08h40
The diver was located and brought to shore where a full advanced life support resuscitation was initiated. Unfortunately, despite efforts the patient was declared dead on scene.
