A 25-year-old man was arrested by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) shortly after he attempted to steal outdoor lights from a property on Mountview Drive in Mountview, Verulam.
RUSA received a call about the theft in progress. The caller witnessed the man attempting to force the lights off the wall however fled after he was disturbed. A description of the suspect was circulated to responding Reaction Officers who nabbed the suspect on Jacaranda Avenue.
The Parkgate, Verulam resident was placed under arrest and detained at the Verulam SAPS.
