Burglary suspect remanded in custody

It is alleged by the complainant that on 7 June 2021 at 06:45, he arrived at the business premises on Clivia Circle at Coolair in Dalton.

Upon entering the premises, he noticed that several tools and equipment were missing. It was discovered that the entry was gained through the burglar gate. A case of burglary was opened at Dalton SAPS. The detectives from Dalton SAPS followed information regarding the suspect involved in the burglary.

The suspect was traced and arrested at Vumbuka area on 7 June 2021. A 25-year-old suspect was found in possession of house-breaking implements as well as the property taken during the burglary. He appeared before the New Hanover Magistrate’s Court yesterday. He was remanded in custody until 18 June 2021 for a formal bail application.
