A 27-year-old man was shot during a robbery at his home in Mslasini, KZN during the early parts of this morning (Saturday).
A resident from the informal settlement contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 01:13 to report the incident. Reaction Officers were dispatched to the residence and on arrival found that the victim had sustained a gunshot wound to his left ankle.
He informed Officers that three suspects had broken his door and entered his home. They stole two cellphones and shot him before fleeing in an unknown direction.
RUSA has attended to three shootings with a similar modus operandi in Mslasini this week.
