Yesterday evening, Alpha Alarms’ Operations Team were dispatched to respond after a wanted vehicle was spotted parked between an informal settlement in Bottlebrush, Shallcross.
While on scene, members noticed a Blue Renault, which matched the description of a vehicle being used in armed business robberies in the area.
Members observed the scene and obtained information about the use of the vehicle to conduct the robberies.
During the undercover operation, the team noticed a man returning to the vehicle. The team pounced on the suspect who was immediately apprehended. Upon questioning him, he confirmed to law enforcement agencies that he was the driver of the vehicle at the time of an armed robbery.
Further probing led to the suspect providing information and identification of the other suspects who participated in robberies.
This is deemed a great breakthrough and more arrests are anticipated soon.
