MasterDrive implements additional measures to ensure the safety of clients and the team.

The recent unrest in South Africa has created many challenges for South African businesses. Looting, damage to property and difficulty travelling to and from work are creating very difficult situations for many companies already affected by the third wave of COVID-19.

The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, would like to assure clients that business will continue as normal. “We understand that health and safety requirements need to be met especially during the current challenges and in particular as employees travel on roads where they may encounter unrest.

“Consequently, training will continue at MasterDrive but with additional measures to ensure the safety of clients and the team. As it is difficult to know when or where unrest will flare up, the team will decide on safety measures on a day-by-day basis. The priority is to ensure that the safety of each person is the main focus and that no one is adversely affected by the unrest.”

We encourage each person to remain calm during this time. “Messages and posts on social media abound and can easily create panic. We encourage you to verify any information you receive and, while this may be difficult, handle it as calmly as possible. If you need to be on the roads, try to change your travel plans or follow MasterDrive’s tips for driving through unrest.

“As we recover from the consequences of the unrest, let us unite as South Africans to recover from the damage that has been done. It is by supporting each that we can help minimise the impact on individuals and businesses,” says Herbert.
