Germiston SAPS members while patrolling at the early hours of the morning they noticed a White quantum at Junction Road.
The member ordered the driver of the vehicle to stop after which a search was conducted. Police found a firearm and live rounds of ammunition and a magazine. The driver attempted to bribe the members with R2750-00. He was arrested on the spot for possession of an unlicensed firearm and bribery. The suspect is a male -+30 years old.
The suspect was taken to Germiston police station cells where he is detained.
He will appear before the Germiston Magistrates’ Court soon.
