As South Africa celebrates women during the month of August as is the tradition to commemorate the 1956 Women’s March to the Union Buildings in Pretoria.
The Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association of South Africa will also be celebrating women through different activities as detailed in our last industry mailer.
The highlight of the celebration of Women’s Month for 2021 is our Women in LPG (WINLPG) webinar which will be held via Microsoft Teams on 31 August 2021.
The webinar will feature female leaders in the industry and as such during the webinar, the women will share their experiences and best practices on how to succeed in the LPGas industry not just in South Africa but also on an international level. In addition, to the aforementioned, women in the LPGas industry will be featured in short videos where they will share more about themselves and provide some advice on how to overcome the many challenges women face in our industry. In tandem, we are also hosting several social media competitions aimed at further empowering women as well as promoting LPGas as well as encouraging South Africans to switch to LPGas which as you know is a safe and efficient energy source.
